Every table is a grandstand seat
Screens in every corner, the sound turned up, and a room full of people who came in for exactly the same reason you did. For one day TGI Fridays Rove Downtown stops being a restaurant and starts being a paddock — racing simulators running in the corner, a leaderboard climbing on the wall, and food and drink from midday so you can settle in early and stay for all of it. Bring the people you normally text during the race.
Live DJ
A live DJ plays through the day and into the night at Rove Downtown. Come early while the room is still filling, and by the time the grid forms the place already sounds like a race weekend. When the flag drops the music is still going, and so is everyone else.
Take the wheel
A Red Bull racing booth lands inside the restaurant for the day. Take a seat, put in a lap of your own, and find out how you measure up against the room — then go back and try to beat it.
Racing simulators
Sit in, strap on the headset, and drive. The booth is open through the day, so you can come back and improve on it.
Live leaderboard
Lap times go up on the board in the restaurant, so you can see exactly where you stand against everyone else in the room.
Prizes
There are prizes on the night for the drivers who make it to the top of the board.
Race fuel
Special food and drink packages run from midday, built for a long afternoon rather than a quick bite — the kind of thing you order once and keep picking at until the flag. The full Rove Downtown menu is right here if you want to see everything on offer before you come in.
